Marta Pejoska
Ohrid, North Macedonia
Marta Pejoska is a contemporary filigree artist. For the past ten years, her practice has focused on water itself, with Lake Ohrid as its central point of reference. As both her home and a living habitat, the lake is where she grew up, continues to live, and has developed her poetic language as a designer. The more she studies and educates herself about the importance of this ecosystem, the more awakened is her feeling of concern, raising an ongoing question: whether her everyday actions contribute to the natural environment, or risk doing the opposite.

“The Lake Fish” collection represents fish and their playful movement underwater, whether alone or in a group. As a collection, it reflects life by the lake and the deeply rooted traditions connected to lake life. The jewellery pieces combine silver wire and silver sheets, enriched with subtle filigree interventions and natural stones as detailing.
